Welcome to Lake Forest Kennel Club and thank you for choosing us to care for your four-legged friend! To ensure a smooth experience, we require all new clients to submit a completed Enrollment Application and signed Policy Agreement before receiving any services. Additionally, please provide a copy of your pet’s most up-to-date vaccination records. You can conveniently email all forms and records to info@lakeforestkennelclub.com. Every pup participating in daycare is required to go through an evaluation. Receive 5 free hours of daycare on your first visit! Contact us to make an appointment. 

Requirements for Services

Prior to appointment or reservation date(s), all dogs are required to be current on Rabies, Bordetella, and D/H/L/P vaccinations. Cats require rabies, feline leukemia, and FVRCP vaccinations. Pets will not be permitted to stay if required vaccines are expired. Please include the most current vaccination record from your vet’s office with your pet’s Enrollment and Policies Packets. All pets MUST be healthy for the last 14 days prior to boarding, daycare or grooming.  Any pet that is actively vomiting, having diarrhea, has recently started a new medication for seizures or is currently on medication for vomiting or diarrhea symptoms is NOT eligible for services at our facilityWE DO NOT ACCEPT ANY PET(s) with taped ears, ears healing from a recent crop, OR with stitchesIf a pet(s) should arrive to an appointment with taped or fresh cropped ears or stitches, they will be TURNED AWAY and will incur a cancellation fee for 50% of the appointment or reservation cost.  Any pet(s) older than 10 years of age should receive a wellness check at their primary veterinary clinic the week of boarding to make sure the pet is healthy enough for a boarding stay. Pets that are unwell upon check-in will not be permitted to stay for boarding, daycare or grooming.

  • Bordetella
  • Rabies (up to date)
  • H3N2 – not required, however it is recommended during high volume boarding periods
Feline Vaccine Requirements
  • Rabies
  • Distemper
  • Feline Leukemia – not required for indoor cats, however it is recommended during high volume boarding periods
Vaccine Exempt Pets

Pets who are no longer eligible to receive certain vaccines due to age, allergy, etc. must show proof from their veterinarian with a written and signed letter by their DVM.
